Rooted in the Sacred Earth
A Yoga Journey in Guatemala
Join Melissa for a Guatemalan Yoga Retreat on Lake Atitlan!
February 14 - 21, 2026
There is a land where the mountains breathe, where volcanoes hum with ancient fire, and where the waters of Lake Atitlán mirror the ever-changing sky. Guatemala is a place of deep spirit — a land that reminds us of our connection to the Earth and the pulse of life that moves through everything.
Join Melissa for six days of yoga, reflection, and renewal, where we’ll journey through the five elements — Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Spirit — to remember the sacred balance that exists within and around us. Each day will offer a new rhythm and focus: grounding into stillness, igniting transformation, softening into flow, expanding through breath, and integrating it all through mindful connection.
Our practices will weave together movement, meditation, and ritual — inviting a dialogue between body and Earth, breath and sky, silence and sound. This retreat is both an inner pilgrimage and an outer adventure, honoring the wisdom of the land and the rich cultural heartbeat of Guatemala.
Between practices, you’ll have time to explore local traditions, savor nourishing meals, and rest in the natural beauty that surrounds us. As the days unfold, you’ll find yourself softening — rooted yet free, awakened yet at peace — carrying home the remembrance that you, too, are part of this sacred Earth.

An Invitation into Retreat
By definition, a retreat is a place of refuge, a drawing back, a sacred pause. It is an intentional stepping away from the responsibilities and rhythms of daily life—the errands, the cooking, the never-ending lists that come with being a householder.
A yoga retreat is more than time away; it is a turning inward. It is an invitation to focus on yourself, to rest in the practices, and to allow yourself to be cared for. Together, we will take a deeper dive into the sacred teachings of yoga—teachings that invite us back to presence, wholeness, and the essence of who we are.
